Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting on the development of domestic production of modern buses of medium and large capacity. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the City Halls of Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad, as well as the management of Beles company and representatives of relevant government agencies. Bakyt Torobaev noted the importance of developing domestic passenger transport and the need to upgrade public transport in the regions and create appropriate conditions for passengers.
Electric buses produced by Beles company were presented at the meeting. They are currently undergoing certification of compliance with the norms of technical regulations. The process will be completed in May this year.
The City Hall of the southern capital expressed its readiness to purchase buses in the prescribed manner. Mayor of Jalal-Abad Ernisbek Ormokov and representatives of Beles company discussed the possibility of providing the city with one bus to test its convenience for transportation of passengers.
