CSTO Military Committee meeting held in Moscow

A meeting of the Military Committee of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (СSTO) has ended in Moscow. The Defense Ministry of Russia reported.

According to the ministry, the meeting was held via videoconference. It was attended by the Acting Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Kamo Kochunts, Chief of the General Staff — First Deputy Defense Minister of Belarus Viktor Gulevich, First Deputy Defense Minister — Chief of the General Staff of the Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces Marat Khusainov, Chief of the General Staff of Kyrgyzstan Erlis Terdikbaev, Chief of the General Staff — First Deputy Defense Minister of Tajikistan Emomali Sobirzoda, Chief of the Joint Staff of CSTO Anatoli Sidorov, CSTO Deputy Secretary General Takhir Khairuloev.

Participants exchanged views on the military-political situation in regions of collective security and agreed to coordinate joint actions to neutralize threats to military security.

The parties considered issues of joint operational and combat training in 2022, and identified areas for further work to improve the organization of international flights of the armed forces of the CSTO countries.

The participants also assessed the activities of the Military Academy of Logistics as a base organization for training military personnel for CSTO members in logistics specialties.

In conclusion, it was noted that the results of the meeting will contribute to strengthening the system of collective security and maintaining regional stability.
