The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan has calculated how much money tourists spend in Uzbekistan. Eurasia Daily reports, citing the press service of the ministry.
According to the press service, the average spending of tourists from the CIS countries, such as Russia, Belarus, Armenia and Ukraine, is about $635 per trip.
Tourists from Kazakhstan spend about -$158.3, Turkmenistan — $104.6, Kyrgyzstan — $99.3 and Tajikistan — $60.4 during one trip. According to the news agency, this is due to the relatively short period of stay and travel in Uzbekistan by citizens of these countries.
Speaking of tourists from far-abroad countries, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage reported that they spend on average about $709.4 per trip.
Surveys of tourists from the CIS countries showed that they prefer to arrive by plane rather than by rail and road.
