Kyrgyzstani distributing Hizb ut-Tahrir materials on Facebook detained

An active supporter of the ideologies of Hizb ut-Tahrir religious extremist organization, who disseminated extremist materials through a social media, was detained in Chui region. Press service of the Central Internal Affairs Department of the region reported.

An account has been identified on Facebook that distributes materials of a religious extremist organization.

Examination confirmed forbidden ideology in the materials.

An active supporter of Hizb ut-Tahrir, 48-year-old A.M., was detained. A mobile phone was confiscated from the man, through which he logged in.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 332 «Production and distribution of extremist materials» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is ongoing.
