Commercial banks of Kyrgyzstan can serve Russian payment cards of the Mir system in their peripheral devices. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reported.
In addition, a project of P2P money transfers from cards of the Mir system to cards of Elcard system has been implemented since 2020. Clients of commercial banks having bank payment cards have the opportunity to make P2P transfers within and/or to other payment systems.
The national payment system Elcard has already carried out the necessary integration activities with the Russian national Mir payment system.
«Commercial banks issue cards of the Elcard system with contactless payment technology (Elcard NFC / Elcard Beskontakt). These cards can be serviced outside the Kyrgyz Republic in the network of the Mir payment system and payment systems of partners of the Mir system,» the National Bank reported.
