Russia lifts COVID-19 restrictions on non-scheduled and regular flights to eight countries on a reciprocal basis. Press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia reported.
In accordance with the decision of the government of the Russian Federation, the restrictions previously imposed on unscheduled and regular flights to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Iran to prevent the spread of COVID-19 have been lifted on March 9, 2022.
Previously, COVID-19 restrictions on flights to Belarus, the Dominican Republic, Egypt (except Cairo), the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Finland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, South Korea and Cuba were also completely lifted.
Flights to these countries are now limited only by the provisions of intergovernmental agreements on air traffic and separate agreements between the countries’ aviation authorities.
When operating regular and non-scheduled flights, airlines must comply with the provisions of the decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation on ensuring isolation to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Federal Air Transport Agency added.
