Situation in Ukraine: Dmytro Kuleba comments on Russia's conditions

The Foreign Affairs Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, following talks with the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov, said that Russia plans to continue its aggression until Ukraine meets its demands, one of which is to surrender. UNIAN reports.

According to a correspondent of the news agency, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said this during a press conference on the results of the negotiations.

According to Kuleba, Lavrov’s main narrative was as follows: «They will continue their aggression until Ukraine meets their demands. And one of these demands is to surrender.»

The minister stressed that such an option was unacceptable for Ukraine.

The situation in Ukraine remains complicated. Fighting continues. Russia started a special military operation on February 24, 2022. The number of military and civilian casualties continues to grow. Many states have imposed and continue to impose severe sanctions on Russia. On the fourth attempt, on the thirteenth day of the conflict, a humanitarian corridor was opened for refugees who decided to leave Ukraine. The first stage of evacuation of civilians from the city of Sumy in north-eastern Ukraine began on March 9.
