Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Russia Sergei Lavrov and Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba began in Antalya. Interfax reports.
Prior to the meeting, the Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu spoke with Lavrov and Kuleba separately.
The meetings are taking place on the sidelines of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya against the backdrop of the ongoing Russian military special operation in Ukraine. Earlier, the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan proposed to arrange negotiations between Lavrov and Kuleba.
As expected, at the end of the meeting, the heads of the foreign ministries of Russia and Ukraine will give separate press conferences.
On the eve of the meeting, Kuleba said that he did not have high expectations for the upcoming negotiations with his Russian colleague, but promised to achieve the maximum possible in the interests of his country and its people.
