The Central Electoral Commission of Kyrgyzstan (CEC) is not yet ready to announce the official results of the repeat elections in two single-mandate constituencies — Pervomaisky and Sverdlovsky. It informed 24.kg news agency.
It is reported that law-enforcement agencies conduct checks on allegations of bribery. The head of CEC Nurzhan Shaildabekova asked the Interior Ministry to speed up the investigation. The results must be announced by March 12 at the latest. The final voting protocols from all PECs must be published on the CEC website by March 9 inclusive.
Elections were held on February 27 in two single-mandate constituencies in Bishkek. Elvira Surabaldieva won the majority of votes (47.97 percent) in Pervomaisky single-mandate constituency. Abdurakhmankhadzhi Murtazaliev won the elections in Sverdlovsky constituency. He won 19.52 percent of the votes.
