President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called on Russia and Ukraine to resolve the conflict through negotiations. He made the statement on Twitter.
«A bad peace is better than a good war. Without peace, there will be no development. Kazakhstan is ready to provide its good office, if needed,» Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wrote.
Today is the seventh day of fighting in Ukraine. On February 24, 2022, the Russian President Vladimir Putin announced start of a special military operation. It was regarded in Ukraine and in the West as a full-scale invasion. Severe economic sanctions began to be imposed on Russia on February 25.
