Google said it has removed several hundred YouTube channels and thousands of videos related to events in Ukraine over the past few days.
The European division of the corporation specified that they are actively monitoring what is happening in Ukraine and are working non-stop, «paying attention to the safety of employees, users and customers.»
«On YouTube, we host videos from trusted news sources and make every effort to remove content that violates our policies,» the statement reads.
Google stressed that they remain vigilant against inaccurate information.
Today is the third day of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine. It started on February 24, 2022. On February 25, fighting took place in the north, south and east of the country. Some cities are either blocked or captured. The number of casualties among the military and civilians continues to grow. Western states impose tough sanctions against the Russian Federation, but they refused to fight in Ukraine.
