Swimmer from Kyrgyzstan Denis Petrashov took the second place in the 200-yard swim at the US Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship in Atlanta. The Swimming Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to it, the ACC League brings together the strongest university teams on the East Coast of the United States and is one of the three strongest in North America.
Denis Petrashov’s time is 1:51.89.
Denis Petrashov competed in the men’s 200m breaststroke at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Earlier at the Olympics, he set a new record of Kyrgyzstan in 100m breaststroke. The athlete covered this distance for 1 minute 0.23 seconds. He took the 27th place. The former record of the republic — 1 minute 0.94 seconds — was also set by him.
