Over the year, the number of accidents on the roads increased by almost a quarter. Police Colonel Adylbek Biybosunov told about it at the board meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
According to him, 7,437 traffic accidents were registered in 2021, which is 21.3 percent more than for the previous year. In addition, the percentage of deaths and injuries increased by 14.8 percent and 23.2 percent, respectively.
Adylbek Biybosunov noted that special measures to prevent accidents are not carried out at a high level, which means that it is necessary to carry out regular activities in this direction.
