The state police officers who shot 27-year-old Kyrgyzstani Nurgazy Mamyrov dead have been justified in their use of force. The U.S. media report.
A coroner’s report said Mamyrov was pronounced dead at 5.58 a.m. on October 5, 2021 as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
«At the time the officers discharged their weapons, they reasonably believed that both they and their fellow officers were in a life-or-death situation that posed both the threat of serious bodily injury and death,» wrote Clinton County District Attorney David Strouse in his statement.
Nurgazy Mamyrov was accused of attempted robbery while being armed with a firearm. A witness who called the state police said Mamyrov shot several windows out of his truck as he fled the scene. The Kyrgyzstani allegedly barricaded himself inside a tractor trailer and refused commands to exit the vehicle or put his hands outside the window.
Mamyrov started the engine of his truck and released the air brakes. He then drove through spike strips and several state police vehicles, striking a trooper.
«Based upon my review of the facts and circumstances surrounding Mamyrov’s death, the law enforcement personnel involved in this incident acted reasonably under the circumstances and bear no criminal liability for their actions,» the District Attorney Strouse wrote.
It was reported earlier that police officers shot and killed a 27-year-old Kyrgyzstani in the USA. According to reports, the man worked at a truck company in the state of Pennsylvania.
