At year-end 2021, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia increased by 46 percent. The Ambassador of Russia to the Kyrgyz Republic Nikolai Udovichenko announced today at a press conference.
According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, the trade turnover reached $2.5 billion last year. At the same time, the export of goods from Kyrgyzstan to Russia increased by 38 percent — from $240 million in 2020 to $333 million in 2021.
«These are quite good indicators, although we always want more. An interesting aspect is money transfers from the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic. These are traditionally high figures. Last year, about $2.6 billion were transferred from Russia to Kyrgyzstan. In fact, this is the volume of the republican budget,» Nikolai Udovichenko said.
