The intergovernmental commission on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border will resume its work in a week. The head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan Kamchybek Tashiev told journalists.
According to him, two months ago the commission stopped work due to disagreements.
«The border issue must be resolved, otherwise conflicts will continue to arise. Therefore, we agreed to continue the work of the commission,» he said.
Kamchybek Tashiev answered in the affirmative to the question whether Tajikistan is interested in resolving the border issue.
«I can’t tell you a lot. Tajikistan is very interested,» the SCNS head said.
