Freeride Festival among extreme skiers held in Jyrgalan village

Freeride Festival was held among extreme skiers-athletes in Jyrgalan village, Ak-Suu district. Its organizer Maksat Aitkulov told 24.kg news agency.

It is noted that more than 50 people participated in the sporting event. Every year, skiers from the Netherlands, the USA, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan come to Kyrgyzstan. Athletes compete in freeride (extreme skiing), demonstrate their skills and admire the beauty of the country.

«Arrival of a skier from Morocco was a surprise for us this year. We will popularize our festival and our region more and more from year to year to increase the number of participants,» Maksat Aitkulov said.
