Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Aziz Aaliev met with the head of the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare, Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Russia Anna Popova. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Aziz Aaliev thanked the Russian Federation for the assistance provided since the beginning of the pandemic in the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection. He expressed interest in further capacity building, training of Kyrgyz specialists and exchange of experience with Russian colleagues, as well as in strengthening the material and technical base and infrastructure of laboratories.
In turn, Anna Popova noted the effective interaction between the profile structures of the two countries in the implementation of joint projects aimed at combating the spread of dangerous infections, and stressed the importance of further strengthening the partnership.
The parties discussed current issues and prospects for further cooperation and interaction in ensuring the protection of public health, epidemiological safety and strengthening the system of epidemiological surveillance.
