The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has extended the migration amnesty (green corridor) for foreigners until March 1. Press service of the supreme executive body reported.
The Cabinet reminded that during the period of temporary restrictions associated with the spread of COVID-19 in the world, an order of the Kyrgyz government was adopted on March 17, 2020, under which foreign nationals and stateless persons who are in Kyrgyzstan on a visa and visa-free basis, could leave the country without an exit visa and registration at the place of temporary stay.
Given the restoration of air, rail and road communication with foreign countries, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to abolish the green corridor for foreign citizens and stateless persons from March 1, 2022.
In this regard, foreigners are advised to leave the country before March 1, or to obtain the appropriate documents (visa, registration) for legal stay on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Visas of Kyrgyzstan are issued electronically through Electronic Visa. After March 1, foreign citizens and stateless persons who violate the rules of stay will be able to leave the Kyrgyz Republic only after paying a fine and obtaining an exit visa.
