870 new cases of pneumonia, COVID-19 registered in Kyrgyzstan, 192,158 in total

At least 870 new cases of community-acquired pneumonia and COVID-19 have been registered in the Kyrgyz Republic, including 57 in medical workers. The Ministry of Health and Social Development reports.

According to it, 627 people got infected in Bishkek, 8 — in Osh city, 141 — in Chui region, 12 — in Osh region, 12 — in Talas region, 5 — in Naryn region, 21— in Issyk-Kul region, 16 — in Jalal-Abad region, 28 — in Batken region.

The spread rate (reproduction number Rt) is 2.9, that is so many people can infect one patient. A number above one indicates that there is an increase in the incidence.

In total, 192,158 cases of community-acquired pneumonia and COVID-19 have been registered in the country since March 2020.
