The city of Asman will be built according to the methodology used in construction of Astana, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said in an interview with Vecherny Bishkek.
According to him, the city will be built at the expense of investors.
«We will not spend a penny from the budget. We don’t have money for this. The total project budget is estimated at $20 billion. We will give land for the construction of Asman to local and foreign investors. They themselves will build and hand ше over (to the state. —Note of 24.kg news agency). We will receive 10 percent of the total volume of objects in the form of apartments, which we will give to the State Mortgage Company. The master layout plan is currently being developed. This will probably take one or two years. If the project starts, 200,000 people will be provided with jobs. We will control all projects within the framework of the construction of the city, work and design ourselves. Astana was also built according to this methodology,» the head of state said.
Timur Faiziev was recently appointed the head of the State Directorate for construction of the city of Asman in Issyk-Kul region. He is suspected of complicity in corruption in obtaining land plots in Bishkek, as well as in illegal construction. The entrepreneur was put on the wanted list. The Pervomaisky District Court chose in absentia a measure of restraint for him in the form of detention in the detention center 1 of the capital. Timur Faiziev himself left the country, but later returned. His preventive measure was changed to a written undertaking not to leave the city.
Earlier, a former presidential adviser, now a deputy of the Parliament, Ravshan Sabirov, said that a French construction company would build the city of Asman, but its name is unknown.
