The ex-official is under recognizance not to leave the city. Such a decision was made by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.
«It is known that the case on Kumtor only in respect of Taiyrbek Sarpashev was sent to the court for consideration on the merits. He entered into a plea bargain. In this regard, the defense asked to change the preventive measure for him. The court granted this petition,» the sources told.
The Pervomaisky District Court confirmed this information.
Taiyrbek Sarpashev is a defendant in the criminal case on Kumtor.
It also became known today that the former prime minister Dzhoomart Otorbaev was sentenced to a fine of 300,000 soms.
