Two meters of Great Wall of China collapse after earthquake

A surveillance camera recorded a flash of light before an earthquake hit Qinghai Province, China. Foreign media report.

As the users of social media report, it is likely that the camera on the house recorded the explosion of a transformer far away from the scene, with the underground vibrations reaching the building with a slight delay, which made it seem that the outbreak preceded the tremors.

According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.3. Local seismologists said the magnitude was 6.9. The earthquake occurred in sparsely populated region in the northwest of the country, but the shocks were felt in some major cities. Nine people were injured in the quake, eight of whom have already been released from the hospital.

As the Global Times reported, the earthquake collapsed a small section of the Great Wall of China about two meters long.
