Employees of Bishkek City Hall met 32 citizens of Kazakhstan at the Manas International Airport overnight. Press service of the City Hall reported.
The Kazakhstanis were accommodated in Dostuk hotel. Stay of the Kazakhstanis in hotels will be financed by the mayor’s reserve fund and at the expense of sponsors.
«The City Hall of Bishkek and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan are preparing for the transportation of passengers from Dostuk hotel to Ak-Zhol checkpoint. There are municipal duty buses at the Manas airport. If necessary, people will be accommodated in a hotel,» the City Hall noted.
Mass protests in Kazakhstan began in the early days of 2022. Residents of Zhanaozen and Aktau in Mangistau region opposed the increase in prices for liquefied gas, then the protests spread to other cities. The situation is slowly stabilizing.
