The National Energy Holding presented information on the exchange of goods with Kazakhstan.
An agreement was signed with authorized energy companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan on mutual supplies of electricity in March 2021. This was done to preserve water resources and exclude drawdown of Toktogul reservoir up to the dead storage.
«In accordance with the agreement reached in the summer period, water was discharged from Toktogul HES, which was returned in the form of electrical energy in the winter period. In total, Electric Stations OJSC and the energy company of Kazakhstan signed an agreement on the mutual supply of electricity in the amount of 900 million kilowatt-hours with the subsequent return of the received electricity in June — August from 2021 to 2023,» the National Energy Holding said.
At least 616.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity have been received as of December 8 within the framework of mutual supplies of electricity from the energy system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
