A citizen of Kyrgyzstan, who was wanted on suspicion of fraud, was detained in Moscow. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The 28-year-old man has been wanted by Kyrgyz law enforcement agencies since 2019.
«In 2015, the suspect exchanged his Mercedes Sprinter vehicle for two other cars. He promised to re-register the vehicle to a new owner and disappeared. It was found out later that this car did not belong to him, but to his relative, and it was in pledge at a microcredit organization,» the ministry said.
The amount of damage reached more than 607,900 soms. The Representative Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan in Russia, together with the police, detained the suspect. He was placed in a pre-trial detention center in Moscow, issue of extradition of the Kyrgyzstani is being resolved.
