The Former Minister of Finance of Kyrgyzstan Olga Lavrova became a defendant in the criminal case on abuse of official position during the modernization of the Bishkek’s Heating and Power Plant. The Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
The main supervisory body of the country completed study of the materials in the criminal case on the fact of corruption in the modernization of the capital’s HPP. The investigation was conducted by the Main Investigation Department of the State Committee for National Security.
The Prosecutor General’s Office stresses that the charges against Sapar Isakov, Zhantoro Satybaldiev, Osmonbek Artykbaev, Aibek Kaliev, Salaydin Avazov, Olga Lavrova and other persons involved in abuse of official position and corruption were brought reasonably that is confirmed by evidence in the case.
It is worth noting that the indictment against the former Minister of Finance (2012-2015) Olga Lavrova is reported for the first time.
Olga Lavrova is currently working as Deputy General Director of Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC.
According to investigators, the defendants, having signed a knowingly unprofitable contract with TBEA company, caused damage to the interests of the state of $ 111,252,797.
