Ex-mayor of Bishkek Albek Ibraimov is suspected of another crime. The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan handed the defendant a corresponding notice. Press center of SCNS reported.
The Main Investigation Department of SCNS, in the framework of the criminal investigation into the sale of 100% stock of shares of Solnechniy Bereg resort by Dastan TNC at an understated price, handed Albek Ibraimov a notice of suspicion of a crime under the article «Organization and management in the embezzlement of entrusted property, committed on a large scale by a person entrusted with property in connection with the performance of his official duties» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It was found out that, under the direction and guidance of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the President, Albek Ibraimov, the Chairman of the Board of TNC Dastan sold 100% of the shares of Solnechniy Bereg resort at a deliberately low cost. As a result, damage to TNC Dastan OJSC, 98 percent of the shares of which belong to the state, from the transaction amounted to 82,750,556 soms.
In the course of the investigation, the current owner of 100% of shares of Solnechniy Bereg resort fully repaid the damage.
Albek Ibraimov was detained upon appropriation and embezzlement of property of TNC Dastan by purchasing special items at an overestimated price. He was charged with corruption.
In addition, according to investigators, the former mayor organized a criminal scheme with other officials of the mayor’s office on the illegal withdrawal of municipal land located in the southern zone of the capital. Albek Ibraimov is also charged with corruption during the construction of a school in Kalys-Ordo residential area in Bishkek. Another person involved in the crime is the other ex-mayor of the capital, Kubanychbek Kulmatov.
