Kyrgyz citizen accused of extremism by Uzbekistan deported from Russia

Smolensk border guards deported from Russia a citizen of Kyrgyzstan who was wanted in Uzbekistan on extremism charges. Russian media reported with reference to the press service of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the oblast.

The Kyrgyz citizen, 41, was detained during an inspection of persons entering the territory of Russia on December 24, 2018.

The FSB stressed that the guest from Central Asia was trying to enter Russia outside a checkpoint.

A check found out that the man was among the persons on the interstate wanted list as part of the investigation of the criminal case initiated by law enforcement agencies under the article «Infringement of the constitutional order of the Republic of Uzbekistan.»

«The detainee was deported from the country,» the Border Department of the FSB of Russia for Smolensk Oblast reported.
