Parliament to discuss statement of ex-ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Korea

The Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense will discuss the statement of the former Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Korea, Kylychbek Sultan, at its next meeting. The decision was made today at the meeting of the committee.

According to the head of the committee, the issue is on the agenda.

«Kylychbek Sultan said a lot. Recent events have facts that damage the authority of the state. Therefore, at the suggestion of deputies, we decided to discuss what is happening in the country’s foreign policy department. If necessary, we will invite both the ex-minister and ex-ambassador to Korea,» said to 24.kg news agency Iskhak Pirmatov.

Recall, the former ambassador to Korea Kylychbek Sultan is not going to return to the country. He applied for political asylum in one of the foreign countries.

Earlier, he told about corruption in the Kyrgyz embassy in Malaysia. The Security Council on behalf of the Presidential Administration, after studying the ambassador’s statement, claimed violations by Kylychbek Sultan himself while working in the diplomatic mission in Malaysia and Korea.

After the scandal, the Foreign Affairs Minister Erlan Abdyldaev resigned.
