The President of Kyrgyzstan noted the symbolism of holding the meeting of the summit of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic Speaking States in the hall, which was named after the world-famous great writer of the Turkic world Chingiz Aitmatov.
«This year, together with the international community, we celebrate the 90th anniversary of the great writer. I take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to the states and their heads, to international organizations conducting special events in this direction,» he added.
Sooronbai Jeenbekov noted that the great thinkers of our peoples left a lot of valuable thoughts and instructions to the younger generation in their works. And the present generation must preserve these instructions and hand them over to the young.
«Therefore, we propose to publish a book on Turkic literature and are ready to actively participate in joint work on it. I propose to entrust TURKSOY, the Turkic Academy and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation with carrying out the corresponding work,» Sooronbai Jeenbekov said.
He added that Kyrgyzstan offered to reduce the number of Turkic institutions and improve their quality.
«Kyrgyzstan abandoned the initiative on creation of a center of nomadic civilization and removed this issue from today’s agenda. I propose to strengthen the interaction of our joint institutions, remove their recurring functions and conduct an inventory in this direction,» the President of Kyrgyzstan explained.
