Zhylkychy Zhakypov awarded title of Academician of Turkic World Academy of Arts

Kyrgyz artist Zhylkychy Zhakypov has been awarded the title of Academician of the Academy of Arts of the Turkic World. Sultan Raev, Secretary General of TURKSOY, told 24.kg news agency.

The award was presented to Zhakypov by Sakit Mammadov, President of the Turkic World Academy of Arts, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, and world-renowned artist.

The ceremony took place in Baku.

Zhylkychy Zhakypov is one of the most significant Kyrgyz artists, a participant of national, all-Union, and international exhibitions, and an Honored Cultural Figure of the Kyrgyz Republic.
