The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his reelection as the President of Turkey, as well as on the resounding victory of the Justice and Development Party in the parliamentary elections. The Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration reported.
The President noted that the results of the elections became an evidence of the Turkish people’s great confidence in the ongoing reforms and practical deeds.
«I deeply believe that your experience, vision in the future will contribute to the economic prosperity of the Turkish Republic and the increase of its authority in the international arena. I am sure that after your victory, the long-standing friendship between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, as well as strategic cooperation between our countries, will rise to a qualitatively new level,» Sooronbai Jeenbekov stressed.
In addition, the President noted that he was looking forward to Recep Erdogan’s official visit to Kyrgyzstan in September 2018, as well as participation in the next summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States.
Recall, presidential elections were held in Turkey the day before. The current President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his address to the supporters said that, according to data from the polling stations, he won the presidential elections without the second round. Referring to the official data, Erdogan said that he won 53 percent of the votes, and his main rival, Muharrem Ince — 31 percent.
