The General Staff of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces denies that Kyrgyz helicopters are in Somalia and participate in combat operations there.
According to the General Staff, not a single helicopter left the country, the entire fleet is located at permanent deployment airfields for planned work to ensure the republic’s defense capability.
Deputy Kanybek Imanaliev stated today at a meeting of the Parliament that the helicopters, provided to Kyrgyzstan as technical assistance by Russia, were in Africa.
The Prime Minister Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev promised to take actions.
