The Federation Council approved the ratification of an agreement on the development of military and technical cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. Deliveries of military goods between the countries are carried out according to an agreed list. Parlamentskaya Gazeta reported.
«The agreement will allow our country to strengthen its positions in Central Asia,» said Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Bair Zhamsuev.
According to the document, federal executive bodies of Russia, which are the customers of the state defense order, can participate in the formation of the lists of military products and the signing of contracts for their supply.
The treaty provides for strengthening control over the availability of military products and their use. It is planned that the parties will determine the procedure for monitoring the targeted use of the supplied military products by an additional agreement.
