The opening of the renovated State Historical Museum in Bishkek was postponed again.
The event had been postponed several times already. Initially, the museum was planned to be opened after repair in November 2017.
Later, the Presidential Administration announced that the date was set for March 2018.
As the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism informed 24.kg news agency, the work is still not fully completed, so opening of the museum is scheduled for August 2018.
The State Historical Museum is closed to visitors in connection with the reconstruction from March 25, 2016. The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) carried out the first stage of the work in the Kyrgyz Republic. The Kyrgyz side conducts internal repairs and design work.
