Chinese company carries out major repairs of power units at Bishkek HPP

To successfully pass the autumn-winter period and ensure energy security, major repairs of power units No. 3 and 4 are being carried out at Bishkek heating and power plant (HPP). The press service of the City Hall reported.

According to its data, the major repairs are being carried out by Tebian Electric Apparatus Stock Co., LTD.

More than 300 employees of the Chinese company, together with employees of the HPP, must complete the major repairs as soon as possible: at unit No. 3 — by October 1, at unit No. 4 — by November 1.

«The power units were installed and put into operation in July 2017. During their operation (seven years), they did not undergo major repairs, they carried a large thermal and electrical load. In this regard, there was a decrease in the installed design capacity from 300 to 220 MW,» the municipality added.

The work is being carried out to achieve the generation of electrical power by two power units of at least 300 MW and thermal power of at least 300 Gcal/hour.
