The number of victims of mass poisoning in Ala-Too restaurant in Bishkek, according to preliminary data, reached 58 people. The Ministry of Health reported.
«In connection with the mass food poisoning at a wedding in Ala-Too restaurant, the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Center conducted an unscheduled inspection with a sudden inspection of the restaurant’s waitstaff and the sampling of food products,» the ministry noted.
As of 4.00 pm on April 1, at least 58 persons applied to the Republican Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital, 41 of them were hospitalized, including eleven children.
Other 17 people are undergoing out-patient treatment at home.
The last check in the restaurant was carried out on October 19, 2017. Then its head was fined for untimely passage of medical examination.
After the revealed sanitary violations, a protocol on the administrative violation has been drawn up and a decision on imposing a fine will be made. The restaurant will be closed until the circumstances that led to mass poisoning of people, in accordance with the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on Administrative Responsibility, are found out.
