The Prime Minister held a working meeting on progress in reforming the road safety system.
Sapar Isakov noted that road safety remains a priority direction of the government’s work.
«We carefully analyze the situation related to road safety, and take measures to improve it. So, in the last two months, the death rate in traffic accidents has decreased by almost 40 percent compared to the same period last year,» Sapar Isakov said.
The head of government added that at the same time, the number of violations detected increased by 45 percent (74,000 more). The budget received more than 18 million soms in fines, which indicates a reduction in corruption in the department.
According to Sapar Isakov, the Main Road Safety Directorate revealed 160 facts of violations by officials, which is an indicator of more impartial and honest work.
