The brother of the president of Kyrgyzstan must abandon his deputy seat. Sooronbai Jeenbekov should not allow the return of the family rule. A member of the SDPK party, Chairman of Aikol Ala-Too NGO Meerbek Miskenbayev, announced at a meeting in memory of the killed in 2002 Aksy events.
According to him, the new head of state, who replaced Almazbek Atambayev, is obliged to continue the work begun after April 7, 2010 by new power — the fight against corruption and clan rule, the cleanup of the judiciary. Sooronbai Jeenbekov must resist the return of Bakiev’s people to power.
«Bakiyev’s people started raising their heads. They intend to hold a kurultai, to which the former presidents Askar Akayev and Kurmanbek Bakiyev were invited. If they dare to return to Kyrgyzstan, we will resist,» Meerbek Miskenbayev said.
He reminded Sooronbai Jeenbekov that in 2010 the heroes of the April revolution fought against nepotism and clans.
«Being the president of the country, Almazbek Atambayev did not let any of his relatives to power. Sooronbai Jeenbekov should follow his example, and his brother Asylbek Jeenbekov must resign his powers as a deputy of the Parliament,» he said.
