Names of applicants for post of head of Respublika – Ata Jurt voiced

Omurbek Babanov resigned as head of Respublika — Ata Jurt faction. He sent his statement, which members of the faction considered at an extraordinary meeting.

24.kg news agency found out the names of potential candidates for the vacant post. As reported in the faction, Ruslan Kazakbaev, Talant Mamytov and Kurmankul Zulushev are applicants for post. «Perhaps there will be more candidates. At the next meeting we will consider all applications. It is too early to talk about potential leader of the faction,» Respublika — Ata Jurt stressed.

A criminal case has been opened against Omurbek Babanov under two articles of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Earlier, 24.kg news agency reported with reference to its own sources in the Parliament that one of the deputies, Aliyarbek Abzhaliev, was holding negotiations with members of Respublika — Ata Jurt, who were offended for one reason or another by the leader, to express a vote of no confidence and dismiss him as a head of the faction.
