80 percent of vehicles stuck at border with Kazakhstan carry goods to Russia

About 80 percent of trucks that are currently on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border are transporting goods to Russia. Expert Dzhumakadyr Akeneev said today during a video conference on the results of the meeting of the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union in Yerevan.

According to him, as of today, only 20 percent of vehicles move exactly to Kazakhstan. More than 1,000 vehicles are waiting for their turn to cross the border. At the same time, not only businessmen of Kyrgyzstan suffer. Russia and Kazakhstan also have losses.

The fact that there are problems with milk and meat leads to difficulties in Kazakhstan. After all, we provide with these products Zhambyl and Almaty regions.

«These issues should be raised. It is impossible to remain silent, because this is the subject of discussion today. Experts also have to say their word, so that the issue to become a thing of the past,» Dzhumakadyr Akeneev stressed.

«If one state has any objections to the other, everything should be resolved within the rules and regulations that are in force in EEU,» he added.
