Boeing 747 crash: no guilt of Kyrgyz side

The Interstate Aviation Committee has practically completed its work to investigate the causes of the crash of Boeing 747 owned by the Turkish company ACT Airlines on the territory of Dachi SU settlement on January 16, 2017. The Minister of Transport and Roads Zhamshitbek Kalilov told 24.kg news agency.

«Yesterday I talked to the chairperson of IAC Tatyana Anodina. She said that we would receive a report from them in the near future. Now, it is wrong to talk about the conclusion of experts without a report. But it is clear that there is no guilt of the Kyrgyz side,» Zhamshitbek Kalilov said.

The preliminary IAC report was ready in March 2017. It contained the actual information received at the time, the results of the completed studies, as well as operational recommendations for improving safety.

Recall, 35 citizens of Kyrgyzstan and 4 crew members -citizens of Turkey- were killed, several dozens of houses were destroyed as a result of the crash of Boeing 747 that flew from Hong Kong to Istanbul. In addition, one Kyrgyz citizen died of natural reasons when assisting the victims.

The Turkish side paid compensation to the families of the victims and the dead.
