Atambayev invited to Uzbekistan. Final contract on border can be signed

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited his colleague Almazbek Atambayev to visit Uzbekistan. Parties can sign a final agreement on the border. This became known yesterday during the talks of the two presidents in an expanded format.

According to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, his offer to visit Uzbekistan to the head of Kyrgyzstan remains in force. While the visit is being prepared, the parties can agree on the issues that have been discussed and present the final documents at the talks in Tashkent for signing. This also concerns the boundaries.

Almazbek Sharshenovich proposed prior to his visit to agree on the remaining sections of the border. Why not?! There’s very little left. It is necessary to instruct those responsible that they should think, talk and come to a common opinion.

In turn, Almazbek Atambayev thanked for the invitation and noted that the parties could really solve all the disputable issues until October and sign new agreements.

Recall, today the parties will sign an interim agreement on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border. At the moment, 1,170 km of the border are described. Work continues on another 217 km.
