Vice President of US names Russia among main threats to peace

The Vice President of the United States Mike Pence stated at the North Atlantic Council that the main threats to peace are Russia, Iran and terrorism. Kommersant reported.

«From Russia’s attempts to reshape international borders by force — to Iran’s attempts to destabilize the Middle East, to the global threat of terrorism, which can strike at any time in any place. It seems to be more dangerous in the world today than even after the fall of communism a quarter of a century ago," Mike Pence said.

He added that the US is ready to fully fulfill its allied commitments within NATO and «adhere to the principle that an attack at one member of the alliance is an attack at all.»
