Speaker of Parliament invites Azerbaijan to observe presidential elections 2017

The Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament invited Azerbaijan to participate in the observation mission in the presidential elections, which will be held in the country in the fall of 2017. Chynybay Tursunbekov said it at a meeting with the Chairman of Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Oktay Asadov in Istanbul (Turkey).

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Speaker of the Parliament noted the interest of the Kyrgyz side in expanding all-round cooperation with Azerbaijan.

«Our states are connected by a long-term partnership and the similarity of the history of two fraternal peoples," Chynybay Tursunbekov said.

According to the Speaker of the Parliament, it is necessary to increase cooperation within the framework of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TURKPA). He noted the readiness of the Parliament to hold the next 7th plenary meeting of the TURKPA in late July this year.
