Specialists test quality of asphalt at Otmok pass in Talas region

Asphalt concrete pavement samples were collected at Otmok pass in Talas region at an altitude of 3,300 meters above sea level. The work was carried out by employees of the Republican Construction Certification Center under the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services.

According to the ministry, specialists collected asphalt concrete core samples on-site for laboratory testing. The samples will be sent to a specialized laboratory for analysis of density, water saturation, water resistance, and compaction coefficient.

The tests are aimed to determine whether the road surface complies with established building codes and standards, as well as to ensure the reliability and durability of the road.
