The President of Kyrgyzstan signed amendments to the constitutional Law «On the Status of Judges of the Kyrgyz Republic». The amendments were made to fulfill Kyrgyzstan’s obligations under the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union of May 29, 2014.
The provisions of the regulation on social guarantees, privileges and immunities in the Eurasian Economic Union, which is an annex to the Treaty on the EAEU, provide social guarantees to judges of the Union’s court.
In this regard, social protection measures are now also extended to judges of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union from the Kyrgyz Republic — guarantees of state life insurance, payment of a one-time benefit upon termination of office, as well as pension supplements.
For persons who have worked as judges of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union from the Kyrgyz Republic, the amount of pension supplements is determined in the same manner as for judges of the republic, taking into account their length of service in the legal profession.
The period of service as a judge of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union shall be counted in the length of judicial service.
