China, Russia and Turkey - leaders in volume of investments in Kyrgyzstan

China, Russia and Turkey became leaders in the volume of foreign direct investment in Kyrgyzstan in the first six months of 2024. The National Statistical Committee provided the data.

According to its information, the inflow of foreign direct investment for the first six months of 2024 amounted to $462.2 million. In addition, this year $280.4 million came from countries outside the CIS, which is 60.7 percent of the total investment.

Earlier it was reported that the volume of foreign direct investment in the economy of Kyrgyzstan from China and the Russian Federation was almost equal in the first half of 2024. The main investor in the Kyrgyz Republic for the first six months of this year was China with investments of $109 million (23.6 percent of the total investment). Russia took second place in terms of investment with $108 million (23.5 percent). In the first half of 2024, the Russian Federation invested only $1 million, or 0.1 percent, less than the republic’s traditionally largest investor.
