A citizen of Kazakhstan suspected of fraud has been extradited from Kyrgyzstan. The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
It is noted that the supervisory authority of Kazakhstan has achieved the extradition of the fraud suspect from the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to investigators, in 2023, the man promised an Almaty businessman to supply equipment for ventilation and air conditioning systems. Having received 75 million tenge, he disappeared. The suspect was put on the international wanted list.
The man was detained in Bishkek in May. At the request of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was extradited to his homeland; he is in a pre-trial detention center in Almaty. The suspect faces up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.
